Our lessons offer traditional karate
Teaching, fitness, co-ordination, flexibility, confidence, improved self esteem and a great way to make new friends.
Any one is welcome to join us from the age of 7 plus.
Your first lesson is free, then £5

Lympstone Dojo was established by chief instructor(Sensei) Marianne Fox in June 2015.
Marianne Sensei started karate at the age of 12 in Johannesburg, South Africa with the JKA(Japanese Karate Association). While training in South Africa Marianne Sensei competed at numerous local,regional and national championships with notable medals and gained her black belt(Shodan) in 2001 and is currently a 3rd Dan. After leaving South Africa after finishing her education she moved to England.
Marianne Sensei is proud to part of the KUGB and is part of the KUGB IT working group, which works on the KUGBs main website. Marianne is also one of the KUGB Mental Health ambassadors. The club regularly holds karate charity events in aid of mental health( Mind, Time to Change campaigns)
We are affiliated to the Karate Union of Great Britain(KUGB) , which is Britain's largest karate organisation.
About Karate :
Karate is a martial art which developed out of the traditions of Japan and has a long and noble history. It is one of the most accomplished Self defense systems using all parts of the body for defense and counter attacks. The style we practice is Shotokan which was founded by Gichin Funakoshi.
It is important to understand that Karate is more than simply learning “techniques”, but a martial art which aims at the perfection of character through dedicated training of the mind and the body. A good technical standard can only be attained through hard work.
We offer classes from 7 years and above, the first lesson is free and £5 there after.
